Programs for schools

Learning you can step into.

Immersive workshops and expert seminars for secondary schools, combining virtual reality, computer games, board games, current affairs and critical thinking.

Students are not merely listeners. They travel into space, enter America in 1899, experience international negotiation or examine together how information is created and how it shapes our decisions.

Immersive workshops

Three journeys beyond the ordinary lesson

Technology and play are not attractions for their own sake. Every experience is connected to explanation, questions and shared reflection.

A Journey into Space

What is it like to leave Earth, move through space and see our planet from an entirely different perspective?

The workshop combines projection, guided explanation, video and three virtual-reality stations. While part of the class follows the shared program, students rotate through VR and experience each stage of the journey themselves.

What students experience
  • the scale of the universe and distances between its objects,
  • a journey from Earth into space and the environment of a space station,
  • weightlessness and a spacewalk,
  • a view back at Earth and discussion of future space exploration.

A Journey through Time and Space to 1899

Enter a world between two eras, as the Wild West ends and old ideas of freedom collide with the modern state.

The workshop uses the richly detailed world of Red Dead Redemption 2 as a gateway to America in 1899. The game environment is combined with historical and social-science explanation and critical comparison of fiction and reality.

What students explore
  • daily life, cities, landscapes and railways at the end of the nineteenth century,
  • the rise of modern capitalism and growing state power,
  • the boundary between law, violence and personal freedom,
  • the position of Indigenous peoples and the myth of the Wild West,
  • how computer games shape our image of the past.

Diplomacy: Negotiation, Power and Alliances

How does trust emerge between states? Why do coalitions form, and why does cooperation sometimes fail?

Through the board game Diplomacy, students take the roles of European powers. They negotiate, make agreements, build alliances and pursue their strategies in an environment where moving pieces is not enough.

What students practise
  • defining interests, negotiating and persuading,
  • building coalitions and deciding with incomplete information,
  • working with trust, reputation and strategic commitments,
  • the tension between short-term gain and long-term cooperation,
  • shared reflection on power, diplomacy and international politics.
Expert seminars and lectures

Current issues without needless simplification

A lecture can run for 45 or 90 minutes; an interactive seminar usually takes 90 minutes. Content is adapted to the students’ age, the school’s focus and the topics currently being studied.

USA

American Foreign Policy

How does the United States understand its role in the world?

The seminar introduces the main principles of US foreign policy and their evolution. It can focus on transatlantic relations, NATO, Russia, China, the Middle East or current disputes about America’s global role.

MAP

The Current Geopolitical Situation through Political Geography

How do borders, resources, transport routes, cities and population patterns shape politics?

Students look for the geographical context of current conflicts and learn to question simplistic claims that state behaviour is simply “determined by geography.”

DC

How the American Political System Works

Why is the US president not all-powerful?

An accessible guide to the roles of the president, Congress, the Supreme Court, individual states, political parties and voters. The program can focus on elections, Congress, the courts or federal–state conflicts.

?

Information, Media and Critical Thinking

How do we judge whether information is credible, and how should we work with AI-generated content?

Students learn to verify claims and distinguish fact, interpretation, opinion and manipulation. Topics can include sources, headlines, graphs, fallacies, algorithms, disinformation and responsible use of generative AI.

The goal is not to tell students what to think, but to improve how they evaluate information and support their conclusions.
